About Us
How Expressive Candles came to be...
I have always been a "crafty" and creative person. From weekend craft
sessions with Mom to a degree in Music Therapy. It began when I was very
young and I received a "candle-making kit" for my birthday. Since then
I have been intrigued and captivated by their beauty and elegance. As
a candle lover I began to purchase scented candles and I was always disappointed
in the scent throw and burn quality that I got from store bought scented
candles. So I decided to make my own. I began to develop a special wax
blend that allowed my scented candles to burn perfectly and have a maximum
scent throw throughout the entire burning life.
Expressive Candles is a small family owned business. While my Husband
handles the logistics of the business such as the web site and sales,
I design and make the products. Together we strive to bring the best candles
to our customers and strive for great customer service.
What Does Expressive Candles Mean?
Our name, Expressive Candles, was chosen for several reasons. Candle-making
is a craft, an art and a science. When I first began making scented candles
it was another way for me to express myself through color and fragrance.
I could express and convey my mood with the different scent and color
I chose. Then I began giving the scented candles I made as gifts to family
and friends and realized the gift giving aspect expressed many things
as well. At times it has expressed sorrow for a lost loved-one. They have
expressed the joy and happiness of a marriage or the birth of a new loved-one.
I have also given candles as a simple "Thank-you" or "Just-Because" gift.
The list just goes on and on! I sincerely hope you can find that perfect

Return Policy
100% Satisfaction Guarantee
All of our candles at Expressive Candles are individually handmade. So with all handmade candles no two items are alike. We try to insure the quality of every candle we produce through extensive testing of the wax, fragrance oil and wick. Customer satisfaction and quality of product is our main goal!
If you are not satisfied with your purchase simply return the products along with the reason of return and Expressive Candles will inspect the candle and if warranted, will offer merchandise exchange (S&H additional) within 30 days of purchase. Expressive Candles will not accept exchange on any product that has been fully burned or maliciously damaged. All shipped orders are insured and clearly marked FRAGILE. Please contact the postal carrier for items damaged by the carelessness of the carrier (United States Postal Service). Expressive Candles does not pay shipping and handling on returned items.
A Special Note About scents:
If you aren't sure you will like a fragrance, please order it in a small size first. We don't accept returns if you don't like a particular scent.
Do not accept damaged packages from the carrier! All orders leave us carefully packaged and sealed, and the carrier is responsible for merchandise while in transit.

Shipping
Our scented candles are shipped using United States Postal Service because
their shipping fees are cheaper and their delivery time is within 2-3
days from shipment date. Our candles orders usually take 3-9 days to fill,
and then they will be shipped using Priority 2-3 day mail and insured,
unless otherwise noted. Our orders are typically shipped out in the beginning
of the week to make sure your candles are not being held over the weekend
at a hot post office warehouse. This helps with not delaying the delivery
and keeping your candles in good condition.

Shipping is priced according to weight. During Checkout, your shipping price will be listed in your shopping cart checkout.
